Aquilina Basses to Be Big in Japan

Top Japanese Distributor T. Kurosawa Takes on Premium French Bass Guitar Line

Aquilina-DB5Aquilina Basses is pleased to announce an agreement with T. Kurosawa & Co., LTD. to distribute the Aquilina line of fine handcrafted basses in Japan. "We met with Takeshi Seki who previewed my basses at NAMM 2013," said master luthier, Sebastien Aquilina, "and I'm highly honored to be chosen by a company that was started by one of Japan's leading classical guitar luthiers."

Aquilina Basses are hand-crafted in Chantepie, France by Sebastien Aquilina. There are six bass models in 4, 5 and 6 string versions and one guitar. Notable French bassists who use his instruments include Richard Bona, who plays the Richard Bona Signature 5, and Etienne Mbappe.

Aquilina Basses exhibited at the 2013 Winter NAMM Show and received high praises among the bass playing attendees including a "Best in Show" award from Bass Gear Magazine for the Shelby Model.

Aquilina Basses will join Zon, Ritter, MTD, Marleaux and other limited production premier bass brands in the Kurosawa "High-End Bass" category.
