Band From the Boardroom is a group of musicians from Southern California that wear suits during the week at the businesses they run, and on the weekend, they rock out! They have been selected to compete in the Finals of "The Playoff", a new national competition to find the best company rock band in America, at the venerable Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio on Saturday, September 12, 2015.

The Music Gods have indeed smiled down favorably on Band From The Boardroom. The Southern California-based 'corporate band' representing Sante Fe, California based Swann Communications were selected to compete in the Finals of "The Playoff", a national competition to find America's best company rock band,  sponsored by, and taking place at, the venerable  Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, 1100 E. 9th St., on Saturday, September 12. Doors open at 7 p.m.; Band From The Boardroom performance time is 7:50 p.m. Tickets are $25. (which includes a tour of the museum plus the concert).

Inc. Magazine is also a sponsor of this very special event, which additionally features seven other bands competing that evening.

BAND FROM THE BOARDROOM - BIO

Three years ago, the Swann Security team and had a casting call for all Swann musicians and musician friends that are customers and suppliers. Many people from Swann joined along with their buyer from Amazon.com, their buyer from Microcenter who blows a mean blues harp and several other people from the consumer electronics industry joined in the jam.

The first two years, the jam was at SIR Studios in Las Vegas. When it grew larger they moved it to a new venue this past January at the Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp, also in Las Vegas. They decided to use the jam to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and it was a great success, drawing almost three-hundred people and raising money for charity.

Band members include: Geoff and Jenni on percussion, Richard and Ozzy on guitar, David on bass, Mike on keys, Sandy on vocals and our company president, Keith on drums. Drummer Keith Oldridge says, “What a bloody trip! Band from the Boardroom is taking on a life of its own. To have our little jam band beat out 200 corporate bands that practice and did studio recordings for the submission is nuts!”

Singer Sandy Scott comments, "we really just fell backwards into this… becoming a real band. We all just play music for fun and because we have been livelong musicians, it is in our blood. The band works hard together during the day at the office and we blow off some steam playing music for fun! This is amazing that we would be given the opportunity to play our music for so many people-we are so thankful!”.

As their notoriety has grown, the group has been featured in articles including the Moorpark Acorn, the Los Angeles Beat, and AXS.com, among others.

Bonzo Bash confirms drummers for California Music Fest - Tichy/Sutton Productions with Ludwig-Musser Drums and Percussion as main sponsor! Jan. 2015 - Santa Ana, CA.

After much-hyped speculation, Tichy/Sutton Productions is pleased to announce the first round of artists who will be participating in the inaugural California Music Fest at the Observatory in Santa Ana, CA in January 2015.  For three nights, some of music’s most prolific artists will come together and pay tribute to their heroes for a legendary weekend of music and madness.

With Bonzo Bash creator Brian Tichy newly endorsed by Ludwig-Musser Drums and Percussion, the legendary Ludwig is revealed as the main sponsor of the 2015 Bonzo Bash!

Led Zeppelin's John Henry "Bonzo" Bonham is consistently regarded as the #1 drummer in rock. Bonham played Ludwig drums his whole career and his name is synonymous with Ludwig. Having Ludwig sponsor Bonzo Bash gives an added authenticity to the celebration! Tichy / Sutton Productions is very excited to have the two entities come together, all in the name of John Bonham!

Producers Brian Tichy and Joe Sutton have been creating unique celebration concerts for the past several years, and have now combined them into one weekend of music and madness to coincide with NAMM January 22, 23 & 24, 2015.

Thursday, January 22nd, 2015 kicks off with Bonzo Bash. Album Review: RED TIDE RISING – The Rising

Reviewed by Joseph Timmons – Xombiewoof Magazine

  10495389_10152122943500964_6703578413441496911_o

Red Tide Rising, hailing from Colorado, considered the “upstarts of the music scene” and well established for a band that is still quite new has revealed their breakout album The Rising have been invited by metal veterans Drowning Pool to open their 'unLUCKy 13' Autumn tour alongside Like A Storm and A Breach of Silence.

994105_10152124632260964_4102775678792151834_nRed Tide Rising, who will be out touring their Extended Version of The Rising, sees this as their path, to be able to support their release on this run with their friends in Drowning Pool. In interviews, Red Tide Rising frontman, Matthew Whiteman said "It's great to see bands like Drowning Pool that recognize the importance of helping out up and coming bands like Red Tide Rising by staying in touch over time and offering tour dates for us to gain exposure and have the opportunity to share our music".

Red Tide Rising is not just another metal band, with course vocals blended with harmonic presentation, supported with progressive rhythms set this band apart from many of their contemporaries. Skill such as theirs comes with years of practice, blood, sweat and many tears…. all of this proves that they are naturally gifted musicians with phenomenal talent and a destiny that only starts with greatness and skyrockets upward.

imageThe Rising is a fireball of power and energetically driven metal, set in technically accurate and highly passionate formulation. The title track The Rising is fast moving, driving and captivating, whereas the track Rising Tides is a slow yet hair raising instrumental. All songs on this album are soaking in emotional turmoil but sparks of hope within the messages, are like salvos of fireworks, bursting through, lighting up the valley of darkness, delivering you into the fold.

The song Vicious Circle is very poignant, as it is something we all have experienced, and only through a sense of pure determination, do we rise above… could this be the reason for the title The Rising, all our hopes and fears, all that would drag us down and suffocate us in a sea of madness, massive tentacles of pain and suffering… sheer death warded off by the awesome might of the Red Tide Rising, raising us up, for another gasp of air……?

Yeah, … Just that Effin’ Good !

OPEN AIR STEREO RELEASES SECOND SINGLE, “DAMNED,” FROM ‘PRIMATES’ DEBUT ALBUM

AUSTIN SHOWS CONFIRMED DURING SXSW; CO-HEADLINING TOUR WITH MIGGS STARTS MARCH 25 IN JACKSONVILLE, FL

2014 is already proving to be a busy year for OPEN AIR STEREO.  Not only have they just released the second single, “Damned,” from their PRIMATES debut album, which was added to SiriusXM’s “The Pulse” channel right away, but they’re getting ready for a batch of shows in Austin, TX during SXSW and they’ll be launching a co-headlining tour with miggs and Man On Earth in March.

While a lyric video for “Damned” can currently be seen on the band’s YouTube page, they recently completed an official music video for the song with Devin DeHaven (Slash, R. Kelly, Rita Ora) at the director’s helm, which will be released soon.

Meanwhile, the Southern California band--Chase Johnson (lead vocals), Nick Gross (drums), Scott Pounds (guitars), Evan Smith (bass)--is getting ready to launch a co-headlining tour with miggs and Man On Earth starting March 25 in Jacksonville, FL at Jack Rabbits and concluding May 4 in Scottsdale, AZ at the Rogue Bar.  Before the trek kicks off, OPEN AIR STEREO will perform a handful of shows in Austin, TX during SXSW.

PRIMATES has been racking up rave reviews since its release last May.  Gibson.com described it as “...melodic rock that’s a bit edgy and free, with lots of guitar bite.”  Examiner.com called it “...an energetic and hook-filled hard rock album...”  Reviewfix.com hailed:  “Open Air Stereo encapsulates Southern California pop and rock sound. Their debut album features ten tracks that give off that beachy, summery spirit that is enjoyable, refreshing and triggers the senses to aurally experience the laid-back, chill vibes of surf, sand and sun.”
