Artist News Report and Review by Joseph Timmons: Xombiewoof Magazine
I come across many artists during my searches for great music, many of whom don’t get the press they deserve. With so many talented artists to report to you, I can’t emphasize enough that to do a “Review” does not always do an artist any justice, so I interject interviews, quotes and more, so you get a feel of where they come from and where they are going. I still find myself at a loss sometimes because so many music fans get locked into their favorite music types and many are unsure of new artists or new directions, so I have created this article type Artists in the New, more than a review, not just news and always good music!
Teddy Geiger - New album: The Last Fears will be released May 14th 2013 through iTunes and direct purchase.
Teddy Geiger, the New York-based singer-songwriter/producer is going to release his new album The Last Fears, which is the follow-up to Geiger’s highly acclaimed debut album, Underage Thinking, which entered the top of 2006 Billboard charts, anchored by the million selling hit, “For You I Will”.
The Last Fears is not just another pop album, but a story of growth for multi-instrumentalist Geiger. Recorded in Nashville, Los Angeles, Woodstock, New York City and his own living room, Geiger shows a maturity in writing that is usually found in artists twice his age.
The self-produced The Last Fears mixes traditional pop structure with accents of modern electronica and ballads, tinged with mandolins and steel guitars the songs have a unique flavor and versatility. His songs and music celebrates American youth and living life, The Last Fears shows us that Teddy Geiger is an artist at the forefront of what is considered the Independent American Music Scene.
This collection of soulful and introspective music features collaborations with other artists, such as Larry Campbell of Levon Helm & Bob Dylan fame. In addition to his successes in music, Geiger is also a noted actor, best known for his work starring opposite Emma Stone in 2008’s The Rocker, and playing the muse in the cult hit TV series, Love Monkey.
Below is a link to his Soundcloud Streams of some earlier works, as you can tell, he has been given a gift and he looks to share it with the world!
I recommend checking out this artist, I see good Music coming our way. Visit His web site and Facebook page to stream his music and find out about tour dates.
