"Tales Of The Weird" continues the history of Germany’s best Thrash band in absolutely stunning fashion!

Expect a massive but melodic punch, right in your face. It’s all here: intense, powerful riff attacks, great lead guitar work and Charly Steinhauer´s typical vocals. Imagine “Tales Of The Weird” to be a new Metallica album, the worldwide fanbase of Hetfield & Ulrich would cry out in joy! PARADOX show the Metal scene how it can sound like when originators of a genre stick to their roots but evolve by using today´s technological opportunities and refined songwriting.

Its been three years of waiting since PARADOX latest album „Riot Squad“, but now the fab four from Würzburg, Germany return with "Tales Of The Weird" a brand new studio album of highest quality.

PARADOX are no strangers to melody, but the band’s new album is even more heaven and uncompromising than ever. After the courageous opening with the 9-minute long, epic title track, PARADOX unleash their typical thrash bombs with razor-sharp precision.

The album was produced by Charly Steinhauer while the mixing was handled by V. Santura in the Woodshed Studio (Landshut). Guest appearances of Bob Katsionis (Firewind) and Gus Drax (Sunburst). Again the band chose artist Claudio Bergamin to design the new album’s cover artwork. With the RAINBOW cover version „ A Light In The Black“ (bonus track) the band finishes their new masterpiece album that again saw them exceeding themselves in every way.

Signing with Roadrunner Records for their debut album “Product Of Imagination” and delivering the thunderous successor “Heresy” just two years later, German Thrash metal masters PARADOX set a strong foundation for their career. But because of some line-up changes and disagreements with the record company the band was put on ice for many years.
Ten years later the interest of record companies caused PARADOX to start another run, in a new line-up. Starting a furious comeback at the Wacken Open Air in 1999 PARADOX shortly after recorded their third album “Collision Course” under the aegis of Andy Classen.

In May 2000 the band signed a new contract with AFM Records who released the album worldwide in August. Once again critics were amazed and totally surprised: PARADOX were back with an impact! In June 2001 the band performed very successfully at the prestigious Bang Your Head festival. But serious health problems of mainman Steinhauer caused another layoff. In April 2006 the band returned to the stages, this time at the “Keep It True” festival. 2007 saw PARADOX playing concerts in Slovania, now having found their final line-up to record the next album “Electrify”: Olly Keller (bass) and Roland Jahoda (drums) joined the band.
Line- Up:

  • Charly Steinhauer - vocals/guitars
  • Christian Münzner - guitars
  • Olly Keller - bass
  • Daniel “Evil Ewald” Buld – drums
