Take DNA from Alice Cooper, Motörhead, Danzig, Rob Zombie, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Powerman 5000 and the “Motor City Madman” Ted Nugent; combine in a vat and add pure undiluted carnal urge, and you have Beasto Blanco!
Beasto Blanco sets the tone of the album Live Fast Die Loud with an homage to Ted Nugent with their cover, the image of the classic “windmill” guitar stance in motion, and like the cover, the album is alive with the forward thrust of hard rockin’ fury.
Beasto Blanco was formed in 2012 by Vocalist Chuck Garric and Guitarist Chris Latham. They have created a group that allows them indulge their influences and imagery of their collective musical background and immortalize it in the studio and live on stage. Chuck Garric, from the mountains of Lake Tahoe, California and Chris Latham from Anchorage, Alaska, moved to Los Angeles California with a destiny to be respected and envied in the LA Hard Rock Scene.
Chuck Garric has spent a majority of his career touring and recording with some of the biggest acts in the business, most recently an ongoing position as the bass player with Alice Cooper. Chris Latham has spent the last few years as the lead guitar player and song writer for Paper Back Hero.
Beasto Blanco is Chuck Garric on Vocals, Guitar, Bass and Chris Latham on Lead Guitar and Back Ground Vocals. These two larger than life fiends of the scene are supported by the talents of Calico Cooper, Glen Sobel, Jonathan Mover and Tiffany Lowe. If this was not enough, add in the genius of producer Tommy Henriksen to bring this Metal Beast to life.
The line “Billion Dollar, Ultra Bright Crystal Scars!” just gives me shivers and makes me want to eat Raw Meat, That’s Damn Tasty Lyrics!
Songs on this album that I feel are destined for immortality, “Live Fast Die Loud”, an anthem of a generation obsessed with fast hard living and an insatiable need for pleasure. ”Breakdown” is a search for the indefinable, the unreachable the ultimate, In “Viva Las Vegas Nights”, well what happens in Vegas never stays put. “Motorqueen”, the kind of girl you bring home to meet your momma, if you want your momma to drop on the spot and “Freak”- Be Real or Be Gone! Finally, “No More Man”, a friend in need is a fiend indeed!
You have to check out the song “Viva Las Vegas Nights” On Soundcloud and pre-order the album Live Fast Die Loud by Beasto Blanco from Rat Pak Records, your ears and your need for speed will thank you!
