Accessory Power to host 120-day campaign for Pandas International Saving Pandas and portable speakers go hand in hand for fundraising effort

Accessory Power is hosting a 4-month fundraising campaign, with a portion of net proceeds from the newly-released GOgroove Groove Pal Panda and Junior Panda Pal portable speakers will be donated to Pandas International. Accessory Power has been supporting the non-profit organization, whose mission is to ensure the preservation and propagation of the endangered Giant Panda, since 2011.

“We are excited to continue our amazing partnership with Accessory Power,” says Andrea Muller of Pandas International. “The funds raised will help to purchase much needed enrichment items for the Giant Pandas in China.”

The campaign is taking place between July 1st and October 31st across all channels Accessory Power sells the GOgroove Groove Pal Panda and Junior Panda through. Pandas International is a registered 501(c) (3) non-profit based out of Colorado. It provides assistance to the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda (CCRCGP) by raising funds for research, educating the public, providing medical supplies and food for the mammals.

Accessory Power’s Groove Pal Panda and Junior Panda are portable speakers with a Giant Panda-inspired design theme. They both feature a passive subwoofer and 3.5mm audio input cable. The larger Groove Pal Panda includes a 6-hour rechargeable lithium battery, stereo 40mm drivers and retractable 3.5mm audio cable. Slightly smaller in statue, the junior Panda powers its high-excursion 40mm driver from a USB connection or by three AAA batteries for 12-hours of portable audio playback. A glowing LED base provides an optional fun lighting effect and the linkable design can connect multiple Groove Pal junior speakers together.

In Accessory Power’s previous fundraising campaign for Pandas International, a percentage of the net proceeds from the popular GOgroove Panda Pal and Mama Panda Pal were donated to the non-profit organization. Pandas International used these funds to provide Giant Pandas with Christmas holiday treats, which were made up of apples, shrub leaves and honey arranged on a cake of frozen fruit in a festive holiday design. In addition, the organization has used past Accessory Power donated funds to plant bamboo forest. Because bamboo makes up 99% of a Panda’s diet, this forest restoration is critical to survival of the Giant Panda.

The Groove Pals and Groove Pals Junior lines were inspired as a way to support organizations that assist with the safety and longevity of endangered and highly threatened animals. Unveiled during the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January, both lines feature the redesigned panda, as well as a new owl, tiger, penguin, polar bear, and koala.
